We build our website pages using a variety of content types called chunks. Each chunk is built to scale and adjusts based on the screen width of the viewing device. One chunk is usually all that will fit on the smaller screen of a mobile device, which makes it a great base unit for design and content creation.
Groups of content chunks make up sections, and sections make up a page.
The banner, displayed at the top of the page, can either be an image, text with a background color, or a video. Banners are a great way to introduce your content.
There are three areas of the website where navigation can occur:
Use the social media sharing option if you would like readers to share the content on your page via Facebook or X. The share icons will appear near the secondary navigation. You can also customize the title, description, and image that appear on Facebook and X.
Sections can be thought of as rows that span the entire width. Sections can have background colors or images to guide readers through the various sections. Sections can lay out all chunks within them in a grid of halves or thirds, but by default chunks will span the full width.
Chunks can be thought of as content and there are many different types of chunks, including text, images, and accordions. Chunks can be positioned to the right or left if they are not arranged in a grid layout in the section. Learn more about the types and details of all chunks.
Social links and up to two external links appear in the belt on every page of your website.
A skirt can be added between the belt and the footer to include a more elaborate navigation menu or contact information on a page of your website.
